Book Description Original Cloth. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Second Edition. Second UK edition published by Faber in 1971. First published in the UK by Faber in 1951 under the title 'The letters of Ezra Pound 1907-1941.' Originally published in the US by Harcourt Brace in 1950. The boards have rubbing to the corners and a little bumping to the top right corner of the front panel. Browning to the page edges with dense brown spotting to the top edges and scattered large brown spots on the fore edges. There is a little browning to the endpapers and the pages are browned around the edges but the pages are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has chipping at the top and bottom of the spine which has some edge rubbing. The rear panel has a one inch closed tear to the bottom edge and a quarter inch closed tear to the top edge. The jacket also has some browning and a little staining to the rear panel. First printing of this edition. Seller Inventory # 018300

Jacket has minor patchy edge/shelf wear, a few small marks, few spots of foxing, a little patchy browning (including to spine), the odd small crease/rub to edges, little pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine, a couple of very small (approx. 3mms) tears and a little pushing/bumping to corners (Which has resulted in tiny loss in a couple of places). Boards are near fine (having been well protected by the jacket) with a hint of pushing/bumping to corners and minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Inside boards/end-papers are a bit tanned with the odd small mark/spots of foxing. Occasional small mark/minor foxing to page edges, tops and bottoms. Pages little tanned. Very occasional small mark/spot of foxing to pages. No other faults.
