This is a story that started out as a blog and grew to 50,000 followers. A testimony of encouragement to others who are currently going through trials and challenges in their lives. In 2005, Linda Giebelhaus was diagnosed with colon cancer. After aggressive treatments the cancer had been in remission for six years. However, a routine checkup in May of 2010 showed that the cancer had not only returned, but had spread throughout her entire body. Doctors held out little hope and gave her six months to live. But Linda knew her Shepherd had different plans. The Sweet Spot is the daily journal of this remarkable woman whose trust and love for the Shepherd gave her the strength to believe in the power of Faith and the reality of her Savior. This is her personal journey through the process, her struggles, fears, triumphs and the sweet moments shared with her family, friends and her Shepherd. This my friend, is real life!

Oh how blessed I am to have had you in my life for 20 years and to read this book. You have lived something unique and different that people need to read. You have praised your Shepherd. You have let Him carry you up the steep cliffs. You have lived with great joy. You have lived in the moment, not in the future. You have trusted your Savior. You have relished time with family and friends. You have shown where you received your strength from His Word. You have banished Satan from your thoughts and not let him deceive you with his lies. You did not dwell on death but rather on the blessings of the current moment. You have lived with enthusiasm and hope. You have said things that needed to be said to the ones you love. You have had just total excitement for the little things, the simple things of life. You have let your loved ones take care of you. You have shown us all what's really important in life. You have trusted God alone to heal and comfort you and He has done that so well. --Dinah Collinsworth

I shared this book with a friend who has experienced heartbreak recently in hopes that she would be encouraged by it. This book ministers to others and Linda's faith inspires all of us. It's encouraging to read how God guided Linda and provided for her on this journey. She gives hope to so many and she gives all the credit to the Lord. Her faith is an inspiration to us all. Linda was an amazing woman through whom God has shone brightly. I'm privileged to have called her a friend. --Marianne Drummond

I have read every one of Linda's posts throughout this journey. I don't know all the members of her family, but I feel like I do now! What a terrific group of people! I have been inspired by her words and her stories and what is truly wonderful is that her journey over the past 16 months has not been about cancer, it's been about her faith, her family and the love that filled her life. It's truly awesome! --Bruce Gardner
