In the early 70's three disgruntled Vietnam soldiers returning home from war faced a hostile population that soured their outlook and chances of good paying jobs. They decided to form a transportation company for the purpose of hauling marijuana from Columbia to the United States with a large four engine piston aircraft. All they needed was one airplane and any pilot. After two aborted attempts with a less than professional pilot, they decided it would take someone with the skill and balls to get it done. They found and hired one Richard Decker. A pro pilot with over 35,000 hrs and a reputation of being able to fly anything big or small, piston or jet airplanes. The Company (as it was called) grew to be the most wanted and most successful smuggling company for the next seven years. Bringing in tons of marijuana into southwest and southeast United States. They grossed over $250,000,000 (that's 250 million) before their demise in 1982. I was that pilot and this is my story. Dick Decker as told to Dick Zerbe
