When The PhD Project was created in 1994, there were only 294 doctorally qualified African-American, Hispanic-American or Native American professors in all U.S. business schools. In 2014, as The PhD Project marked its 20th anniversary, there were 1,237 professors and an additional 332 working toward their doctorates.
