Who Am I: Exploring My Blackness begins a search of the most intricate parts about me and within me. Searching for an understanding of who I am from the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same, regardless of what, as long as God says the same, creates an atmosphere withing, allowing me to breathe freely. Who Am I also examines those who sought to create a turmoil within a place that wasn't their own, and at the same time, searches for who, if any, has ever bothered to guide me to places where true answers even dare to exist. This brief yet powerful book has started a balance to where understanding comes that self-hatred will gain me nothing, but true love for myself...will gain me everything. "Teach our children the roles we've played and all our rhymes and rhythms, teach our children that exploring our blackness is not a sign of racism."
