It is designed to help your child relax and drift off into a peaceful sleep...About the Author-ArtistBorn and raised in Sayville, Long Island, New York, Virginia's artistic abilities started showing as soon as she could hold a pencil. She began studying art at age 6, after a kindergarten teacher confirmed to her mother that Virginia had an artistic gift. Private lessons, under the guidance of painter Juliette Levesque, continued until age 18. The young artist managed to win a national contest at age 10, began doing painting commissions in her early teens, and showing her work in a local gallery at 16 years old. Attendance at Parson's School Of Design in New York and Fashion Institute Of Technology earned Virginia a degree in Illustration.After vacationing on Oahu in the winter of 1984, Virginia fell in love with the island's vibrant colors and peaceful energy.
