About the Author:

Izabella Hearn has over 25 years experience in TEFL, starting at International House, London and moving on to Central America and Spain. For the past 15 years she has been involved in teacher training and has given workshops throughout Europe, the United States and South America. Izabella served on the Executive Board of TESOL Spain for six years and was also a member of the ESL/Mother Tongue Committee of the European Council of International Schools. She is an NLP practitioner, and has developed creative techniques in the classroom based on her research in this area. Izabella has written a large number of primary EFL textbooks, including Fun English Levels 5 and 6 (Pearson 2002) and is co-author of levels 3 and 4 (Pearson 2001). Laura Sanchez Donovan is an English and young children's teacher. She got her first qualifications at the Teacher's University Facultat de Mestres Blanquerna, Universitat Ramon Llull, in Barcelona. She has a wide experience with children from ages 3 to 12 and has taught English as a main and second language. Laura passed the state exams in 1997 and has since then worked in an Infant's and Primary school in Santa Susanna, Barcelona. Laura began writing books in 1999 and has had "Fun English 1&2" published together with Jill Leighton. She is qualified by the Escuela Oficial de Idiomas and has taken part in a number of projects related to the reading and writing process with small children and teaching English to very young children.Laura now lives in San Francisco and takes part in a creative writing workshop with a north American writer. She is still working on projects related to young children's learning process in English.
