About the Author
David S. Rains is an arbitrator/mediator in Charlotte, NC. David is a volunteer worker for the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, and serves on several boards of Foundations devoted to helping terminally ill children. He is married to Suzie Anderson Shermer, of Advance, NC. David has three grown children from his first marriage. David was born in Bell County, Kentucky. His parents were William McKinley Rains and Nancy Whitaker Sykes, both deceased. David is the seventh child of thirteen children born to William and Nancy Rains.
