Bob Quinn, at the age of sixteen, served with the United States Navy during World WarII. He witnessed the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay from the flight deck of his aircraft carrier. In 1983 he retired from the IBM Corporation. He has authored several novels and numerous short stories.
