Connor MacLean is a rare book dealer. Connor is a successful businessman, respected by his peers and considered an expert in the field. MacLean attends an estate sale in an affluent Chicago suburb, where he intends to purchase a number of one-of-a-kind items. This sets the stage for a hidden map, possibly revealing the location of a fabulous treasure hidden from the Nazis during the opening days of WWII. The map exists and several people think it's worth killing for. Travel across the United States to a former POW camp for Axis prisoners, where clues are hidden, to a whitewater chase on the Wolf River in Wisconsin. Help MacLean and Elena, his assistant and lover, decipher the code that will lead them to the treasure, or possibly to their deaths. While MacLean deals with an ex-wife, alcoholic father, crotchety grandfather, jealous rival book dealers and neo-Nazis, led by a former German air ace, you will wonder what can go wrong next. All the action leads to a series of plot twists, unexpected developments and the final confrontation on Lake Prespa in Macedonia.

From the Author:

Derek Hart has always loved bookstores and especially the books within, of course. With Dust Jacket, the author presents the reader with yet another new hero - Connor MacLean, the owner and operator of MacLean's New and Rare Books.  Whenever he gets a chance, Derek Hart heads to the library or a local bookstore, to do research, look for story ideas, or just purchase a book to read.  So it just seemed natural to write a book about book lovers.

Of course, it wouldn't be a Derek Hart novel without plenty of action, so the author added a secret puzzle, plenty of clues to the solution, a hidden treasure, and a beautiful woman (who just happens to be the manager of Connor MacLean's bookstore), then threw in plenty of twists and turns.

Just for good measure, Derek also used some interesting locales, from white-water rafting on the Wolf River in Wisconsin, to the desolate deserts of southern New Mexico, finally ending up on the beautiful islands of Greece and on the unappreciated shores of Lake Prespa in Macedonia.

About the Author:

Derek Hart is the prolific author of action and adventure novels, known for their historical accuracy, while still maintaining a high level of entertainment. Romance is also a vital part of Derek Hart's trademark style and his novels generally appeal to men and women alike.
