About the Author:

Most of the contributors to this book met on Corgi-L, the Internet’s largest e-mail list and Web site devoted to these magic big dogs in little dog bodies. On Corgi-L, we ask questions. We answer each other—at length—sometimes out of professional knowledge, sometimes out of our own experiences, always out of love for our corgis. We share triumphs, funny stories, and tragedies, from arrival of a puppy or litter to the last journey home to the Rainbow Bridge. We write stories in corgis’ own special language, corgese. We plan picnics and parties and get-togethers at shows, and when we finally meet in person, we happily recognize each other as family. For each of us, the very best corgi in the world, whether a champion show dog or a corgi-mix rescue, is the one who fills our house, our heart, and our life with joy.

For the past three years, we have been creating ways to raise money for CorgiAid, sometimes as simple as a jar for contributions at a picnic, other times as complex as the twice-yearly online auction, our first collaborative quilt, and now this book. Many of the book’s authors are experienced dog trainers, breeders, veterinarians, or competitors. Others are simply fortunate to share their lives with one or more of what we sometimes call "bunny butts" and "swishy tails.This book would not have been possible without the dedication of all the contributors and the collective wisdom of everyone on Corgi-L for the past eight years.
