What has happened to Jamaica?
This little heaven on earth. This paradise for so many people around the world. This beautiful island of tropical magnificence bathed by the blue Caribbean Sea with its immensely beautiful white sand beaches and pleasant friendly people.
Why is it so poor, backward and embattled? This book is a personal account by international advertising man Gerry Grindley whose agency promoted the country's two major political parties that governed Jamaica at different times. Grindley won a Clio Award for his "Equal Rights & Justice" campaign developed for the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) in 1979-1980.
Grindley's perspective provides background on the building of a nation post-colonial rule, the grooming of political leaders and their rise to power through strategic and award-winning advertising and public relations initiatives, and an emotional hypothesis of the kind of thinking and way of life that is currently ravishing this beloved island. From the Back Cover:

Vincent, Dominica, Belize and Grenada. Grindley now resides in Florida with his wife, Joy.
