For over one hundred years, the football programs of Traverse City, MI have built a sense of community and transformed boys into men. In 1896, at a time where helmets weren't worn and getting to games required locomotive transportation, the Trojans of Traverse City Central organized their first team. Since then, they have achieved many winning seasons and three state championships. In 1951, the St. Francis Gladiators played their first game, and through their 57-year history have become known as a team of distinction and character. In 1997, the Titans of Traverse City West took to Thirlby Field and began another football legacy; they have attained success since their first season.
