Raised in a church-going family, the author was familiar with prayer: at bedtime, at meals, in church services, at the request of others, hoping it would help, but never actually seeing or experiencing specific, tangibly answered personal prayers, nor did he expect to. But late in life, that changed, and by age 62 he had discovered there is so much more in what Jesus taught his disciples than he had known. He sought and accepted that something more, followed by distinct changes of direction in his life, which he recorded. One major change was receiving answers to personal prayers. What kind of prayers? How were they answered? What helps? Based on his documented personal experience, this book presents the results of his search for patterns in answered prayers

About the Author:
Dick Parvin is a retired aerospace engineer now living in Florida, his home state, with his wife Marge. Raised in a Christian family, he was often in a lay leadership position in his church. After years of engineering in the aerospace industry, he became co-founder and president of an engineering, manufacturing, and installation firm with government contracts for installations in Germany, Japan, and England as well as throughout the U. Other publications of his include Inertial Navigation in the Principles of Guided Missile Design series; A Boy from Manatee; several papers and articles on engineering design topics, and several articles on personal Christian spirituality and church acoustics. He and his wife have taught youth and adult Sunday School classes and now host a small home group studying that something more. Prior to his retirement he was an elder in a Presbyterian church in California. His travel has given him the opportunity to join in worship with a wide variety of Christian traditions and non-denominational churches.
