Margi Faze was born in Havana, Cuba. When she was 8 years old her father gathered his young family and fled the communist island with the goal of providing a better life for his children. They bought a home in Miami, Florida where Margi enjoyed a modest upbringing. In 1998 she graduated suma sum laude with a bachelors degree in education from Valley City State University in North Dakota. She met her husband in the spring of 1999 and soon after moved to Nevada where they still live a quiet suburban life. After giving birth to her third child in 2007, Margi decided to lose the pregnancy weight and enter the International Body-for-LIFE challenge. She was determined to conquer her goals and make the transformation of a lifetime. Her hard work paid off when, in February of 2008, she was honored with the title of 2007 Body-for-LIFE Grand Master Champion. The award brought her worldwide recognition and has enabled her to inspire thousands of men and women across the globe to make a transformation of their own and begin living a healthier life. Margi has been a longstanding volunteer in her community and donates her time to promote causes near and dear to her heart. Her causes include St. Jude Children s Hospital, and Child Haven, a local Las Vegas shelter for battered, abused, and neglected children. Her goal is to continue to inspire people from all walks of life, to rethink the way they look at nutrition and exercise and to make health a priority in their lives.
