About the Author
Cliff Field, M.D. began his martial arts training in Karate in 1986. He achieved his black belt in 1999 and is ranked Godan in The International Karate League (IKL).
He has been published in medical textbooks and journals and has an additional martial arts book currently under contract with Paladin Press.
As Director of Emergency Services for Ka'u Hospital he finds time to pursue his passion of learning karate and its philosophy.
He and his wife, Susan, reside in Hawaii where he is a Sensei, and she is a Sempai of an IKL dojo.
