Never Underestimate the Strength of Women takes on the important role of lighting up a neon sign and calling all women to empower themselves. The premise of the book is simple-to reach girls at risk before they fall through the cracks. The result is forty-two remarkable, awe-inspiring journeys filled with grace, intelligence, courage, tenacity, and the common thread of strength. How fortunate are we that these remarkable women entrepreneurs share their knowledge, spirit, and incredible strength through their personal experiences and by giving young girls the words of wisdom and heroic inspirations that have helped them along the way!

Joyce Keating Steinert is a native Staten Islander and was educated in the New York school system. The authors' great-grandmothers came to this country not knowing the language and with very little money, but with the belief that with hard work they could succeed. Succeed they did by becoming wealthy innkeepers; thus the birth of Never Underestimate the Strength of Women. Kerin Martucci started modeling at the age of eight at the suggestion of her aunt. By the age of eleven, Kerin made the cover of the first edition of Young Miss Magazine (owned by Esquire) and later graced the cover of Philadelphia Bride. Her goal is shared with her mother-a portion of the proceeds will be shared with Domestic Violence Centers across the country.
