Review:
This book was a genuine surprise, as I am usually not a fan of courtroom reads. They have not had the same punch as watching a movie or TV drama. However, Judge Caras' book drew me in from the beginning and I hung on in anticipation until the shocking ending. I would not be surprised to see it on the screen in the future. --Deb Austin, Asst Editor, 50 + News & Views, Peoria, Illinois
Caras brings plenty of legal experience to his first published effort. His expertise shows through with insights on jury selection, courtroom procedure and the general give-and-take between judge and attorney. --Steve Tarter, journalist, Peoria Journal Star
In Remembrance of Me A December Killing is a very enjoyable read. The plot is full of twists and surprises, some you might guess, some you certainly will not. A great read if you like mysteries or legal thrillers, especially such as Capote's true crime novel, "In Cold Blood" and Hitchcock's, "The Rope." --Illinois Attorney, Jeremy Reppy
