About the Author:
Stephen Slade, MD, FACS, is in practice at Slade & Baker Vision in Houston, Texas, where he specializes in vision correction procedures. Dr. Slade was the first surgeon in the United States to perform LASIK, and more recently, performed the first laser refractive cataract surgery procedure in the United States, setting a new standard in cataract care. He is a Chief Medical Editor of Cataract & Refractive Surgery Today and serves as the Medical Director for LenSx Lasers, Inc.
