The author also discusses the importance of social media, and provides information about where to find potential students online, what they are talking about, and how the recruiting counselor can help those students make the best choices when picking a college. Finally, the author walks the readers through the important steps in creating a full strategy to support their recruiting efforts.

About the Author:

Clinton R. Lanier holds a PhD in Professional Communication from New Mexico State University. From 2008-2012 he was an Assistant Professor of Technical Communication, and the Director of Web Communication and Social Media for the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Since 2006 he has also been consulting to public and private industries and government organizations. In 2012 he founded Word One Consulting in Las Cruces, NM, a social media marketing and consulting firm serving small and large businesses and higher education.
