"Animals Need Sleep,Too" is an entertaining look at how different animals sleep and why it is important for young children to sleep well, too. It is a non-fiction children's picture book for children 4-8 years old that teaches them about sleep while comparing their sleep to the many different and fascinating ways that animals sleep. The 38-page book engages children with delightful and kid-friendly illustrations. The book depicts some animals that sleep standing up, those that sleep with their eyes open and the many places that animals sleep. By observing how animals sleep, the book encourages children to think about how and why people sleep the way they do.
Each section covers a different sleep topic covering a basic aspect of human sleep and then contrasts this with the diverse and unusual ways animals sleep:
*When you sleep and how much sleep is needed;
*How long and where you sleep; and
*What happens during sleep for people and animals
As an additional value, there are parent tips for helping children establish healthy sleep habits.
