"100 years from now we make our worst mistake, and destroy the planet in a single day. From a three mile long island halfway between Earth and Moon 10,000 of us watch. This time . . . God doesn't send us a rainbow."Ark; a vessel or sanctuary that serves as protection against destruction or extinction.Atlantis; - a mythical island said to have existed somewhere beyond the known world, where the most civilized and most prosperous race of mankind lived.ARKATLANTIS is an emotionally charged, adult love story running through an original, breath-taking adventure. Beginning in a probable future, the characters struggle to stay alive when driven into dire circumstances by misguided world leaders. The story starts when Dave Irons meets Denise Cochran on an enormous space station where mankind is trying to discover how to survive his own technology. The story ends where it begins, but where it takes the reader in-between is captivating, memorable and thought provoking. ARKATLANTIS is more future fiction than science fiction supposing societies and technologies advanced a century beyond today compared to our world a century ago. But the environment is merely a backdrop to a story about a man and a woman. The unique style of ARKATLANTIS meanders from story to ideas to wonderings and back. At times the writing seems detached, but everything comes together in an eye-opening conclusion that pulls the reader into the very pages. 700+ pages. ARKATLANTIS will entertain the reader for hour upon hour, and drag out every human emotion; love, hate, lust, wonder, fear, funny, sadness and countless more. Every aspect of the human experience is incorporated in the story, so it may not be suitable for younger readers.
