Synopsis
CCNA: A Guide to Cisco Networking Fundamentals provides users with a basic understanding of networking technology, with a focus on network hardware. This book, the first in a two-book series, is written to complement the Cisco Networking Academy curriculum currently being implemented in high schools, career schools, and community colleges throughout the country. After reading the book and completing the exercises, the user will be prepared for Cisco Exam #640-507. Upon passing this exam, an individual achieves the first level of Cisco certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate, or CCNA.

About the Authors
Kurt Hudson is a computer consultant and president of HudLogic, Inc. Hudson has earned many technical ratings, including MCSE, MCSE+I, MCT, MCSA, CCNA, CTT+, Network+, A+, and i-Net+. Hudson has contributed to over 30 commercial books and articles on computer networking and related technical certifications.
Kelly Cannon is a practicing engineer, certified networking expert, and full-time networking instructor at Piedmont Community College in Charlottesville, VA. She is co-author of CCNA Guide to Cisco Networking Fundamentals (CT, 2000) and author of Lab Manual for CCNA Guide to Cisco Networking Fundamentals and Lab Manual for CCNA Guide to Cisco Routing (CT, 2000).
