This volume has become a first 'port-of-call' for information on the bristetails, silverfish, cockroaches, termites, praying mantids, earwigs, stick-insects, web spinners and zorapterans found in Australia and its offshore territories. Many species are of significant economic and medical importance, and many are unique to Australia.
One of 46 proposed volumes on the insect fauna of Australia, this authoritative work catalogues all the described species for each of these nine groups. Also included are details of their nomenclature, type data, distribution, ecological attributes, and important bibliographical references associated with each taxon. The work contains many new taxonomic decisions.
