Born in Kenya, but having lived most of her life between Hong Kong and the UK, Deb Farnworth-Wood has a healthy and realistic view of cosmetic medicine and refuses to take it too seriously. She says: Everybody wants to look their best, which is why so many women spend so much money on their hair, clothes, shoes and handbags. Everyone has the right to make their own lifestyle choices. Personally, I would rather invest in improving my physical appearance than waste money on glamorous shoes that would sit in the wardrobe for most of the year. New technology and cosmeceuticals are changing options for men and women. Treatments are now more effective, affordable and readily available, says Deb, but the problem lies in getting the right information from sources that you can trust. For over two decades Deb has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience owning successful, professional medical practices. Debs vast management experience encompasses general practice, minor surgery units, secondary care, pharmacy, dietetics, podiatry, complementary therapy, community care and cosmetic medicine. Since 2007 she has made Australia's Gold Coast her home after buying Australian Skin Clinics from Dr Doug Grose. At the time, she was the managing partner of one of the largest multi-disciplinary practices in the UK. Deb s position was quite unique and she was the first non-doctor partner in a UK medical practice and also the first non-pharmacist to own an English pharmacy. Moving to Australia s Gold Coast with her husband Shaun and children, Jacques and Chloe, gave Deb the opportunity to specialise in the area that she loved most - cosmetic medical services - and at the same time to enjoy a better quality of life in the Australian sunshine. As the owner of one of Australias longest established Cosmetic medical practices, Deb believes that clients will only ever be happy with their treatments if they have had informed choice and ample opportunity to explore the alternatives. She understands that clients need to have confidence in the professionalism, ability and quality of services offered and this book is targeted to the every person interested in growing old looking gorgeous!Review:
