Synopsis
Summer 1914. This volume comprises the three French volumes entitled L'Ete (part VII of Les Thibault) NS fourth volume entitled Epilogue (part VIII) originally copyright in 1936 and 1940. The Thibaults, a multi volume roman fleuve that follows the fortunes of two brothers, Antoine and Jacques Thibault. Summer 14 written under the shadow of the darkening international situation in Europe in the 1930's, focus on the political and historical situation leading up to the outbreak of the First World War, and conclude with the death of Antoine Thibault in 1918.
