Professor Stanley Wells is Chairman of the Shakespeare Birthplace trust and globally recognised as a leading authority in the field. He has lectured worldwide on Shakespeare, he is also vice-chairman of the Governors of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and a member of the board of directors of the Globe Theatre.
