Writing in a personal, anecdotal style, freelance writer Graham ( Your Pregnancy Companion , LJ 7/91) focuses on the how-tos of breastfeeding: what are the breastfeeding positions; how to increase milk supply and what to do in case of milk shortages; how to handle working and breastfeeding; how to wean a baby and offer supplemental feedings; and how breastfeeding affects the mother's personal relationship with her partner. Graham also provides lists of support groups and mail-order companies that offer nursing fashions and breast pumps. Graham's book differs from Carl Jones's Breastfeeding Your Baby (LJ 2/1/93) in that it also includes the author's personal accounts of her own experiences with breastfeeding. Both books will offer the breastfeeding mother enough information to allay her doubts and fears, while the personal experience detailed in Graham's book is a nice added extra. For public libraries.
