Not another diet book???? No in 1968 Catharyn Elwood wrote an updated version of her 1956 book. In the update she said: natural food are what we were meant to eat; eggs, as with any food, are ok in moderation - and cooked correctly on low heat, plus they are a great source of other minerals that help LOWER blood pressure; dried fruits are not your friend if you are trying to loose weight; a balance in the body is a healthy body; refined sugar is a non-food and it has no nutritional value, so as a food it is useless. As an indulgence it can be deadly. Sound familiar? She knew in 1968 and many of her ideas are as modern as today. A great reference book.
