Since then, he has had the good fortune to design and develop many different kinds of software, including embedded real-time systems, network protocols, compilers, distributed databases, and client/server applications. For the last eight years, he has focused on commercial enterprise-class directory-based applications and directory-management software. Kirkpatrick lives in Fountain Hills, Arizona with Kiry, his wife, and their two children, Molly and Scott.
