9780687024469: Dear God, Hear My Cry: A Book of Prayers for Urban Teens

Lisa Williams draws from her experience as chaplain of a children's home to give voice to the pain and struggles of urban teens. The prayers in this book resonate with the longings of teens, and especially those living through difficult times. The author has worked extensively with urban teens and the prayers in this book are based on those experiences. Urban teens will be able to relate. Like the prayers of the psalmists, these cries to God ultimately call forth faith and hope. This book of prayers is a much-needed gift for family, friends, pastors, and youth ministers to give to teens, especially those in an urban environment. Additionally, the prayers are a resource for youth worship.
