"The St. George Hotel?" I interrupted. "Is that anywhere near Ebbets Field?"
"Not far," Davy answered. "You ever been to Ebbets Field?"
"No," I replied. "I've never been."
"It's a nice ball park," he commented. "Small, but nice."
Inside of myself I was so excited that I felt like I was standing on my head. I knew something big was going to happen. But I didn't let my excitement show. I just said, really cool, "You like the Dodgers?" Davy smiled. "Like the Dodgers? The Dodgers with me is like egg salad with you. There just isn't any other ball team. How about you? What ball team do you like?"
"Me?" I answered. "Oh, I feel the same. There isn't any other ball team."
