About the Author Born and raised in California, Barbara Stremikis met her husband while teaching in the San Francisco Bay Area, the setting for her novel May Magic. She later worked as an instructor/counselor on the Leeward Campus of the University of Hawaii. Her accomplishments include a M.M. in keyboard performance from San Francisco State University and a Ph.D. in psychology from Saybrook University. Barbara lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with her husband and a Siberian Husky rescue dog.
