Review:
I had the privilege to read an advance copy of Parker Layrisson s Accident Handbook. It was written as a helpful guide to a person involved in the litigation process, but, because it is so comprehensive, and so readable, I recommend it to lawyers who handle these sorts of cases.
Mr. Layrisson not only covers the basic issues in this sort of litigation in great detail liability of the defendant, causation of the injury, and damages, he also carefully addresses ALL of the innumerable problem areas which invariably arise, and that many lawyers fail to consider: dealing with health insurers, interventions, subrogation issues, insurance coverage issues, workers compensation issues and many others.
I will keep this book on my desk. --Edward J. Walters, Jr. - Walters, Papillion, Thomas, Cullens, LLC, Baton Rouge, LA
As a practicing doctor of chiropractic for 26 years, and having treated literally thousands of accident patients, I can say that Mr. Layrisson's Accident Handbook is one of the best books I've read for the individual involved in a motor vehicle collision.
It is well-written, concise, in easy-to-understand terminology and covers all the aspects of an accident and what a person needs to do and be aware of before or after they've been in an accident. I highly recommend this book. --Dr. George Anthon, Jr. D.C. - Anthon Chiropratic Care, Hammond, LA
The modern legal system is convoluted even for 'simple car crash cases.' Parker's book is a thorough guide that patiently explains everything that a auto accident victim should know about how their case will be handled: from dealing with insurance adjusters, to hiring the right lawyer, to dealing with car repairs. Parker's book is an exceptionally well-crafted guide for anyone injured in an auto accident. --Ernest Svenson - PaperlessChase.com, New Orleans, LA
