Martha Sterne is an Episcopal priest. She has served parishes in Atlanta, Georgia, and Maryville, Tennessee on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains. She grew up in Mississippi, where she first knew the power of stories getting passed around and down through the generations, and she still lives part of each spring and fall at her family’s 200 year old farm outside of Natchez. She and her husband, Carroll, have two grown children and two grandchildren. She has written four books including her latest, a communally voiced chapbook, “Juelz” which was written with the alumni of the Atlanta recovery residential program, Covenant Community, Incorporated. Her abiding pleasure is to help people pass on the living and storied presence of God in each of us.
