Cloth boards, heavily silverfished by the upper and fore-edges of the front board and, to a lesser extent, by the upper-and lower-edges of the rear board. Cheyne's unfinished manuscript covered the four voyages (three in full, one barely begun) he spent collecting Pacific Island produce for the China market from July 1841 to September 1844.
