Hardback. Condition: Mint. First Edition. LEYLAND TITAN PD3 Stewart J Brown. Ian Allan Publishing Co. Ltd., Shepperton. 1989 First Edition ISBN 0711016399 96pp Illustrated Hardback. This copy is in mint unread condition bound in illustrated laminated boards, a dust wrapper is not called for. The text block is unmarked, tight, white, bright and square. This book was volume 6 in the Ian Allan Bus Monographs Series. The Leyland Titan was a forward-control chassis with a front-mounted engine designed to carry double-decker bus bodywork. It was built mainly for the UK market between 1927 and 1942, and between 1945 and 1969. The type was widely used in the United Kingdom and it was also successful in export markets, with numerous examples shipped to Australia, Ireland, India, Spain, South Africa and many other countries. From 1946 specific export models were introduced, although all Titans were right-hand drive regardless of the rule of the road in customer countries. This copy is from the library of the late S. W. Stevens-Stratten author and editor of 'Model Railway Constructor' and 'Vintage Roadscene' an acknowledged authority on rail and road transport. Ref HH5. Seller Inventory # 012509
