Synopsis
On his foam-flecked horse, sweating from fear and the urgency of his mission, a messenger rode in frantic haste towards Nottingham. He must warn the young King Edward that his life was in danger, the upstart Mortimer - the 'Scapegoat' - planned to murder him.
Among the King's retinue was the beautiful Lady Montague, highest ranking in England. With the Inquisition looming on the horizon, it would be dangerous to admit allegiance to her goddess, Diana, as the King well knew. But secretly he remained loyal to the Old Religion; and it was there he would find allies to fight Mortimer's threat.
