Discusses diagnosis and treatment of all abnormalities in cardiac rhythm, following a practical approach. Although comprehensive, the author also focuses upon particular problem areas, aiming to prevent misinterpretation and subsequent mismanagement. The fourth edition, thoroughly updated, incorporates the many developments since the last edition and takes a fresh look at diagnosis and treatment. It tackles the subjects of arrhythmias in myocardial infarction, antiarrhythmic drugs and cardiac pacing, amongst others. The self-test section has also been revised.

...a well conceived practical guide to the interpretation and treatment of the main cardiac rhythm disturbances. Many a medical registrar will be grateful for this clear, concise, up-to-date manual.
Lancet
This book presents a concise and simplified approach to the diagnosis and management of abnormalities in cardiac rhythm... One of the book's strengths is the number and quality of electrocardiographic tracings that are juxtaposed with the text to highlight important points.
New England Journal of Medicine
This book about cardiac arrhythmias is of much educational value and is written and edited simply and clearly.
European Heart Journal
My choice...would be Bennett's Cardiac Arrhythmias which is rather more advanced and therefore suitable for junior hospital staff. This includes a list of key learning points at the end of each section and ends with a challenging ECG quiz.
British Medical Journal
I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it unreservedly to anaesthetists who wish to improve their knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias. My advice is to buy the book and to read it.

Softcover. Condition: Very Good. Immediate dispatch from Somerset. Nice book in great condition. Pages in excellent condition. No notes or highlighting. See images. Fantastic book. About the book >.>.> The purpose of this second edition remains the same: to provide a practical guide to the diagnosis, investigation and management of the main cardiac arrhythmias with particular emphasis on the problems commonly encountered in practice. The author is grateful for the generous reviews of the first edition and has made a point of responding to suggestions reviewers have made. Since the first edition, new anti-arrhythmic drugs have been introduced, a substantial amount of new information about the older drugs has been acquired, approaches to the management of ventricular arrhythmias (particularly in acute infarction) have been modified and there have been important improvements in cardiac pacing. Accordingly, the sections relating to treatment have been extensively updated and expanded. Elsewhere, changes to the text have been made to highlight areas where there are common pitfalls. A summary has been added at the end of each chapter to draw attention to the main points and to highlight those facts of practic. Seller Inventory # Batch-FM271-VG-6932
