The Dark Side of Port Moresby highlights perfectly the clash between traditional values and modern realities that is life in Papua New Guinea today. Cousins Jules and Suglare are young men with very different lives. One is a talented musician destined for study at the conservatory of music in London, and the other is a rascal, living off the spoils of crime. But both men show respect for the traditional ways of their people, both are caught up in the corruption that has enveloped their country, and both raise questions about the future of their society.
