About the Author:
From the collection of this celebrated early photographer, author Luther Baker has compiled photographs of the town's transition from wagon roads and river ferries to railroads and bridges. Baker, a lifelong resident of Nicholas County, is currently the director of curriculum and instruction for Nicholas County Schools.
