Over the past three decades, American higher education has witnessed a shift in demographics which has created a more diverse student body. However, many university campuses remain unsupportive or even hostile to minority faculty and students. This anthology introduces to readers the Difference, Power, and Discrimination (DPD) Program, a 15-year-old curricular model, at Oregon State University. DPD is concerned with helping students understand the complex dynamics of difference, power, and discrimination and how these dynamics influence institutions, with the goal of empowering students to alleviate oppression and other negative outcomes. Teaching for Change addresses the needs of those who are engaged in diversity training and curricular reforms both in higher education and public schools. It will serve as a useful guide for administrators as well as teaching faculty who are interested in initiating similar programs.

Leslie Davis Burns is President and Founder of Responsible Global Fashion LLC and Professor Emerita of Apparel Design and Merchandising at Oregon State University. A scholar and educator around topics related to the international apparel industries, consumer behavior, and corporate social responsibility, Leslie is author of Sustainability and Social Change in Fashion (2019, Fairchild Books), Stories of Fashion, Textiles and Place (Bloomsbury Visual Arts, 2021) co-author of The Business of Fashion (6th edition, 2020, Fairchild Books) and editor of Fashion Business Cases (2020, Fairchild Books). Joey McGuire is the President and Head Janitor of World's End Publishing, and is the author of This Is Not a Test. A geek and long-time gamer, Joey got into the miniatures hobby after entering a gaming store in 1997 and discovering the Games Workshop product catalog. Since that auspicious day, Joey has been modelling and painting miniatures, building terrain, and writing his own rules.
