Quick Fix's Total Mix is designed to deliver a maximum workout in minimum time. This 90-minute DVD format allows participants to design their own workouts with choices from nine separate segments. These sets, which concentrate on specific body parts, can be done in any order. Workout combinations can span anywhere from 10 minutes to 90 minutes and will target the major muscles of the upper and lower body. "Ab Flex," "Leg Blaster," "Arm Toner," and "Buns Firmer" are just a few of the segments offered here, and some of these sets require the use of dumbbells (3 to 8 pounds each) and a chair. The instruction is solid, and some safety pointers are illustrated for the benefit of beginners. While time-savvy exercise programs are attractive to most, participants should remember that beneficial results occur with regular use. With a weekly commitment of at least three sessions, there is potential to gain strength and muscle tone while creating new combinations to suit individual needs.
