About the Author
Kwan-Hung Chan owes his inspiration in translation to Fr. John Turner, S.J., a veteran and recognized translator. Well versed in English, Chinese and other languages, Fr. Turner set the standards and showed, by example, the joy, rewards and challenges of translation, a unique form of creativity. A resident of California, Dr. Chan has also been involved with a translation project of genealogies which he initiated to help overseas Chinese trace their roots.
