Richard Lythberg, with his wife, Bettye, was a missionary in Ghana, West Africa, where they founded Faith and Fire Ministries, International. Meeting many Muslims in Ghana, he felt the need to study the Qur'an, resulting in this publication. Lythberg holds the BA degree from Wheaton and the BD from Northern Baptist Seminary, also attending Loyola University, Fuller Seminary and other schools. He has pastored five churches and was active as an evangelist in the Midwest. The Lythbergs now reside with their son in Bourbonnais, Illinois, where Richard spends his spare time writing. They also have three daughters and nine grandchildren.
