Edward Channing, II, was born in 1927 and grew up in the village of Hazardville, Connecticut. He attended local school and graduated from American International College. He entered his family business and later served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict as a member of the 45th Infantry Division. Edward was active in many community organizations, was an active of the Hazardville United Methodist Church and was elected to the board of Directors of the Enfield Savings and Loan, serving as Chairman for many years. He died in March, 2007
