If you love wordplay and/or humor, you’ll feel right at home. The author was honored as the Punster of the Year for 2005 by the International Save the Pun Foundation, and she proves her mettle as she “mettles” with words, as well as with historical, hysterical, and geogiraffical facts. This com-pun-dium of miss-inflammation will tickle your funnybone and arouse your risibilities. Be sure your medical insurance is up to date before reading this: You may break a rib or two laughing.

Prolific author Cynthia MacGregor has had more than 50 books published conventionally and another 50+ published as eBooks. A full-time freelance writer/editor, she works from a home office In Palm Springs FL, just outside West Palm Beach, where she writes books, ghostwrites books for others, and writes “almost anything if the price is right”, including web copy, catalog copy, advertisements, business materials, and more. And when she’s not busy doing that, she edits books, magazines, websites, and “whatever else needs editing.” She loves writing so much that it’s even one of her hobbies. For example, she writes all the plays produced by the Palm Springs Players, a South Florida community theatre group, for which she gets “no money but lots of enjoyment.” She also enjoys wordplay with an online punsters group, PUNY, and when possible travels to the annual O. Henry World Championship Pun-Off, a wordplay event held every May in Austin, Texas, where she has appeared some years as a competitor and other years as a judge. Cynthia is site owner of both www.TheSoloParent.com and www.ThePublicApology.com and is producer and host of Solo Parenting, a weekly TV show seen in South Florida, whose audience is single parents, whether divorced, widowed, or never-married, custodial or visitational, moms or dads. Cynthia believes herself truly blessed. She often says, “There is no one in the world whom I’d want to trade lives with.”Review:
Cynthia MacGregor is one of the world's most joyful and re-wording pun-up girls. --Richard Lederer, Intl Punster of the Year
Hilarious. Cynthia MacGregor has the unique ability to make one one-liner after the next naturally lead into another one-liner, resulting in the inability to stop laughing. You ll rupture your diaphragm from the spasms, and if you try to read it after surgery, will break all your stitches. Warning: Never try to read more than one chapter at a time. --Stan Kegal, Publisher, Puns of the Day
BETCHA DIDN T KNOW is a PUNderful conglomeration of pun-filled vignettes, covering over 20 topics from Astronomy to Zeus. Cynthia MacGregor s CYNtillating book is indeed titillating, and it confirms her reputation as the 2005 Punster of the Year. --Jim Ertner, Author, Punster of the Year (2009)
