After military service and work in an advertising agency as an Art Director, Edward Booth-Clibborn set up his own publishing companies, First Run Ltd, Motif Editions and the consultancy Internos. Under the first imprint he published, for instance, The Marshall McLuhan Dew-Line Newsletter, and under the second imprint a series of significant prints and posters created by artists such as David Hockney, Allen Jones and Michael English. His most recent activities have been his work with the Designers and Art Directors of London and, under the imprint of Booth-Clibborn Editions, the publishing of various books on the graphic arts. As well as his publishing activity, he is Editor-in-Chief of Campaign's Design and Art.
