From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-Grade 1 Thin Kitty grows fat and she makes nests all over the house, "But she liked the hat nest best. All night she purred. And now my hat is full of fur. Kittens!" That's the story in this frightfully slim tale. Kitty is a somewhat wall-eyed, black-and-white domestic much too large for any of the nests she makes, including the one in the kitchen cupboard right next to the celery, lettuce, and carrots. "What," a child might ask, "are the fresh vegetables doing on the top shelf of the cupboard, anyway?" All but one of the illustrations are double-page spreads that are interrupted by the gutter. Although the large print and few words would appeal to beginning readers, this is strictly an additional purchase. Virginia Opocensky, Lincoln City Libraries, Nebr.
