A beautifully bound hardback with a linen cover, head and tail bands, and a matching linen slipcase, Cathy is comprised of 28 cut out pages featuring the text, with full-page photographs revealed on a separate page beneath. Before the Dawn was a magical mix of wild imagination, playful theatricality and intimate, homespun pleasures and the same elements are all evident in Cathy ... beautifully presented, with a detail of each image first glimpsed through a window in the preceding page. Telegraph As a unique insight into the world of the young Kate Bush, Cathy is fascinating ... Page by page, it makes for an absorbing body of work which, as John Carder Bush puts it in the book, reveals 'the child with the woman in her eyes' Mojo A luxuriously clothbound slipcase edition of childhood photos of Kate Bush, with annotations by the photographer, her older brother. If ever the roots of an artist were revealed in their youthful manner, it's here: surrounded by hippy music, adopting dress-up chracterisations with alacrity and already starting, haunted, into the distance, she's a natural performer in search of a stage.
